The Western North Carolina Pottery Festival on Saturday, Nov. 2 features a juried show with 40 master potters from 16 states. Find more information at wncpotteryfestival.com

Artisans exhibiting contemporary and traditional works of clay, wood, metal, glass, fiber, natural materials, paper, leather, mixed media and jewelry will gather at the US Cellular Center for the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands Oct. 17-20. General admission is $8; children under 12 get in free. southernhighlandguild.org

The Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair, Oct. 25-27 at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher, will host workshops and classes in crafting with fibers, live-animal demos, and more. On Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8, 12-6pm, The Big Crafty, a display of the region’s trendiest makers in all mediums, gets the shopping season going inside the US Cellular Center. thebigcrafty.com.
