Local expertise takes center stage at the WNC Build and Remodel Expo

If you are considering a home remodel or new construction and feel overwhelmed, you are not alone. Between budgets, timelines, and materials, even well-intentioned projects can quickly feel complicated. The WNC Build and Remodel Expo, returning March 21-22 to the WNC Agricultural Center’s Davis Event Center, offers homeowners a chance to slow the process down and get answers before making big decisions. “Home or garden projects don’t start with blueprints. They start with questions,” Jessie Edington, Events Manager for the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains, shares in a press release. “The Expo gives homeowners direct access to local professionals who can help them understand what is possible and how to approach projects with confidence.” For two days, local builders, designers, and trades professionals will be available to talk candidly about what works in Western North Carolina homes, from material choices and site considerations to long-term maintenance. New features for 2026 add both inspiration and practicality, from a Designer Showcase with styled interior vignettes to a Makers Market highlighting regional craftsmanship. Also making its debut this year, the Pawrade of Homes features student-built doghouses that spotlight workforce development with a dose of creativity and charm.

The WNC Build and Remodel Expo takes place Saturday, March 21, 10am-6pm, and Sunday, March 22, 11am-4pm, at the WNC Agricultural Center’s Davis Event Center (1301 Fanning Bridge Road, Fletcher). General admission is $10. $5 for seniors 65+, military, first responders, and educators. Free for kids 12 and under. Ticket purchases cover entry for both days.
